Natural Pest Control

Just found this list of pest control articles. The weather is getting cooler here and bugs are starting to find their way into the warmer house, so I think this is a worthwhile list to check out.

It’s been a decent bug season here, I sprayed diatomaceous earth around the house and it seams to have helped some, but some pesky gnats are lingering around, so I hope there is a good article for them here.

Plastiki - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sorry to say I only just heard of the Plastiki Voyage. This looked like a great project. 12500 plastic bottles used to make a boat to sail from San Francisco to Sydney Australia.

This remids me of the guy who made his own island from recycled bottles.

America's Best 24-Hour Hot Spots

I like 24hour places and I miss my favorite 24hour Diner that got turned into a sports bar. I miss their giant themed omlets. Like “The Greek”(gyro meat, feta cheese and tomato), “The God Father” (spicy italian sausage with peppers and onion) The owner was an A-Hole and the place began to fall apart and it started to smell like a toilet, so I can see why they are gone. But when you needed a place to get a great meal for a small price this place always delivered.

This list has a few I’d be willing to travel to see.

I like the idea of a 24hr taco joint that isn’t taco bell. The VooDoo Doughnut place in Portland looks kind of fun if not painfully pink.

The Candwich - An inspiring story of chasing ones dreams, or is it?

I wanted to find out where I could find these to sample them, so I went internet hunting and I found a website(not a very good one) I kept looking and found an interesting article. Candwich: Quick, Tasty, and Grounds for a Lawsuit?

If the article above is correct, this entrepreneur swindled many investors out of almost $150 Million dollars to help fund his passion for stuffing sandwiches into cans and other ventures.

Lawsuit aside I still would like to try them especially the BBQ Chicken, I can’t imagine what a chicken with a shelf-life of a year or so would be like. I did manage to survive a genuine Army MRE Burrito, so I think I can handle any of these Candwiches.

Box: The new shape of wine

I haven’t had boxed wine since the very first time I got drunk and tried to sleep while the room was spinning around me. But I’ve been hearing good things about boxed wine and am willing to try some of the brands on this list I found. I will use this post to update any tasting experiences.
